Case Study: Kalmar Lifestyle

Brief.

Based in Belgravia, London - Kalmar is a lifestyle brand that creates indulgent self-care products. Set up by founder Karen Ruimy, a writer, dancer, and spiritual healer - Kalmar’s range of products are spread across their four Soul States - Joy, Calm, Peace, and Love; each with it’s own unique collection of self-care products.

With the brand ever-growing in popularity and the completion of the soon-to-be-opened Treatment Rooms, the brand was set to re-focus into its core USP of wellbeing, self-care, and spirituality.

Wanting to refresh their photographic identity with a blend of product photography, and later lifestyle-led social content - Kalmar reached out to me to capture content for their website refresh, and press usage - with the potential for an ongoing monthly content retainer.

Approach.

With a large scope for a refreshed photographic identity, we started off with a discovery session to run through the aspiration of the brand - learning about the core USPs were and using those to guide our creative decision-making.

I produced a brief, guidelines for an updated identity, and a scope of work for us to capture product photography content principally on-location, then to work on a monthly retainer - to be spilt across shooting product photography in-studio and on-location at their treatment rooms.

With the principal content captured, and delivered within 48-hours - the finished commercial imagery is now live across their website - as well as being used for press.

The team at Kalmar have shared their love for our content, and excitement for our rolling shoots to develop their visuals further.
