Case Study: Natasha Durley

Brief.

Natasha Durley is an illustrator that is based on the South Coast of the UK. Her work is always vibrant, includes a lot of textures, and playfully focuses on her love of the natural world.

Since first teaming up together over 7 years ago, Natasha has been commissioned for a wide range of applications; murals, homeware, stationery, apparel, toys, and apps. More recently, a reboot of the childhood classic, What to look For…series by Ladybird books, as well as puzzles, and a biodegradable seed calendar for 2022.

Also available via her store, Sunny Beast - Natasha also sells her own range of prints and products, with a focus on conscious, sustainable materials.

Approach.

As Natasha’s work has grown in popularity, and scope over the years - so has my approach to capturing product photography of her work.

As we’ve built up her photographic identity together, her content is always social first and to be matched with hero content for her shopfront/portfolio, as well as laid back e-commerce content for the store pages - both on her websites and on her partner stores.

Shooting the products on-location for lifestyle scenes and more paired back studio lifestyle-led scenes, it’s always really fun to creatively capture product photography content for Tash, and to see how we can expand on it further.
